The leaves are coming down

The super cold night we had a couple weeks ago loosened the grip of all the leaves and unfortunately disrupted their slow turn to yellow and instead turned so many a dead gray/brown color. And the blustery days we have been having are bringing the leaves down quickly and filling up the gutters on all the rooftops. It is time to get on the schedule for gutter cleaning. I don't think of the word monsoon when I think of Colorado. For some reason I think of Africa mostly, but this year I am associating the word with Colorado. I looked the word up to be sure it even made sense with what is going on here on the front range and I think it applies quite well.  "The monsoon season is a showcase of dramatic weather.
